Petula Clark – Born In 1932

A former World War II child entertainer, the singer/actress Petula Clark started her career working for BBC Radio during one of Britain’s most challenging times. Over the years, she produced hits in English, Spanish, German, and Italian. Clark’s songs such as “Downtown” and “A Sign of the Times” made it to the U.S. radio in the mid-’60s.

Still active, Clark made a West End comeback to appear in 2019’s “Mary Poppins,” after spending over two decades away from the theatre. In 2021, she appeared in “The 36th Annual Bistro Awards,” the documentary series “Autopsy: The Last Hours of,” and an episode of “The One Show.”
