Elon Musk is a great many things. He’s a businessman, a billionaire, an engineer. And now, it looks like he can also add musician to his impressive resume. Jumping from electric cars and space exploration, the 48-year-old has set his eyes on dropping beats and hits as he releases his first electronic dance music (EDM) song.
Debut Song
The billionaire shared his most recent achievement on Twitter where he dropped a SoundCloud link to the song, ‘Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe’. Musk also reportedly changed his name on the social media platform to ‘E D M’ perhaps as a way to mark the event. Even more interesting is that the tech entrepreneur has proudly revealed that he actually did the vocals and wrote the lyrics for the track himself.
While this new venture is certainly a far cry from his previous ones, his journey to becoming a musician may not come as a surprise to some given that his rumored girlfriend, Grimes, is also a singer. The Canadian-born performer, born Claire Boucher, is popular in the art pop and synth-pop scenes.
As expected, a lot of netizens were confused and surprised by Musk’s recent passion project. Luckily, there were also many Twitter users who expressed their support for the Tesla CEO’s latest venture. After all, he’s already proven himself in other areas having successfully built numerous world-renowned tech companies and building an estimated $31.7 billion fortune.
Elon’s Most Talked-About Ideas
It’s also worth noting that Musk has been known for expressing some seemingly ‘crazy’ or impossible ideas and working to turn them into reality. A couple of years ago, the billionaire told The Independent that he could certainly develop flying cars. He even said that doing that isn’t even the hard part. It’s determining ways to make the invention operate safely and quietly that are the bigger challenges.
Musk has also been known for his idea to colonize Mars. He’s even thought about how to go about doing just that. The billionaire suggests striking the Red Planet with thermonuclear missiles to make its temperature more hospitable.
